The Herald will usher in the local campaign season with a Killeen City Council and mayoral candidate forum Monday at the Killeen Civic and Conference Center.
Monday will be step one in the Herald’s coverage of the May 5 municipal elections.
Here’s what to expect in the months leading up to Election Day:
- The Herald will publish its Killeen City Hall Election Guide on April 8 with an election matrix letting voters know who the candidates are, what their top issues are and more.
- The Herald will report timely articles addressing the issues that matter most to residents in Killeen, including quality of life, financial transparency and two City Charter amendments that will be on the May 5 ballot.
- The Herald will cover races throughout the tri-county area, including school board and City Council races in Coryell and Lampasas counties and other propositions going up for a vote, including the Killeen Independent School District’s two-part $426 million bond issue.
