Valentine’s Day is Feb. 14 and love is in the air. There are many events going on in the Bell County area to show that special someone how much you care.

Areawide

Quartets from The Texas Country Gentlemen Barbershop Chorus will be delivering singing Valentines in Temple, Waco, Killeen and surrounding communities all day Feb. 13-14.

As well as supporting the chapter’s operating expenses, funds raised go to support Wreaths for Vets charity at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, and singing scholarships at Temple College and schools in the Temple, Belton and Killeen areas. Belton

Dead Fish Grill will host its Valentine’s Day Celebration from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Feb. 14. The event will feature live music, champagne by the bottle, and a chocolate fountain. Ladies will receive a rose upon arrival. The grill is at 2207 Lake Road, Belton.

Fort Hood

Harker Heights

Children can make valentines from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Feb. 10 at Chick-fil-A, 201 E. Central Texas Expressway, building 2000, Harker Heights. Receive a free heart-shaped chicken biscuit with the purchase of any adult meal.

Harker Heights Parks and Recreation will host the ninth annual Valentine’s Family Dance from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 10 at the Activities Center, 400 Indian Trail. Killeen

The 13th annual Sweethearts Ball hosted by Christian Freedom Ministries will take place from 6:30 p.m. to midnight Feb. 10 at the Courtyard by Marriott Killeen, 1721 E. Central Texas Expressway in Killeen.

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3892 will host its Valentine’s Sock Hop event from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. Feb. 10 at the post, 201 VFW Drive, Harker Heights. There will be a TV raffle, karaoke and a costume contest.

Xtreme Hairstyles will host its Valentines Explosion event at 5 p.m. Feb. 11 at the Killeen Civic and Conference Center. Doors open at 4 p.m. VIP tickets are $55 and general admission is $45. Salado

Inn on the Creek will be hosting two Valentine’s specials.

The Shed at 220 Royal St., Salado, will host a Valentine’s Day special of a heart-shaped single topping pizza and two pieces of cheesecake for $20. Call 254-947-1960 for more information.
