A woman who suffered critical injuries in a Copperas Cove crash Jan. 17 has died, state police said today.

Roseann Lucidi, 65, of Kempner, was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe on the U.S. Highway 190 bypass south of Cove at 4:50 p.m. An eastbound flatbed truck first struck a 2017 Dodge pickup that had stopped due to heavy traffic. The truck then veered into westbound traffic, colliding with a Nissan Altima then Lucidi's vehicle, according to Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman Sgt. David Roberts.

Lucidi was taken to Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, where she died Tuesday.

The truck's driver, Bryan Rhudy, 40, of Killeen, was transported to Seton Medical Center in Harker Heights. Sarah Brown, 40, of Lampasas, who was driving the Altima, was taken to Metroplex Hospital in Killeen for treatment of her injuries.

No one in the pickup was injured.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, Roberts said.
