The Technical Advisory Committee of the Killeen-Temple Metropolitan Planning Organization will meet Wednesday in Belton.

One item on the agenda for discussion is the South Belton Shared Use Path, with a cost of $1.79 million.

The 2040 Metropolitan Transportation Plan Project Listing will also be reviewed, which includes a number of short range projects running from 2014 to 2023.

As part of the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act, metropolitan planning organizations, public transportation providers and the state must enter into an agreement identifying their roles in the transportation planning process.

The committee will discuss a memorandum of understanding between KTMPO, the Texas Department of Transportation and the Hill Country Transit District during the meeting.

Updates to the Public Participation Plan will be reviewed by the committee, including environmental justice. There will also be a discussion on initiating public involvement in the plan’s updating process.

The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Central Texas Council of Governments, 2180 N. Main St., Belton.
