The Pink Warrior Angels will be hosting a traditional luau at 6 p.m. on Feb. 3 in Copperas Cove.
The event at 1206 W. Ave. B, Copperas Cove is being held to raise funds for the Pink Warrior Angels organization, which helps to offset costs for those affected by breast cancer.
Group co-founder Julie Moser said everyone is encouraged to come out and have “a fun night, enjoy the company and performances, and honor (cancer) survivors.”
Food will be authentic to the Pacific Islands, and will include items such as traditional roasted pig, teriyaki chicken, lumpia (a Polynesian eggroll), and various fruits and desserts. With the exception of the roasted pig, which will be catered by an outside source, everything will be catered by former Rabbit Fest Ambassador Edith Natividad, who also helped to plan the event. “This will be fun for the community,” she said.
Entertainment will be provided by a live DJ and the Poly-Mic Dance Group. Guests will also have the opportunity to learn the hula. There will be door prizes and a silent auction taking place at the event, as well.
Tickets are on sale now through Jan. 27. Ticket prices are $25 per adult ($45 per couple) and $10 for children 10 and younger. To purchase tickets, go to email@example.com.
