The city of Killeen is getting a new oil change business, according to the weekly permit reports. Take 5 Oil Change will be coming to 1003 Bacon Ranch Road in Killeen in the near future. The new business is valued at $382,000.

City permit officials issued 226 permits last week worth a total value of $6.29 million.

There were 18 permits issued last week for the construction of new single-family residences, worth a total value of $2.87 million. Contractor Ashford Homes will build 15 of the news homes on Corinne Drive, D. R. Horton will build two new homes on Mohawk Drive and Stylecraft Builders will build the final house on Creek Land Road.

The city has issued permits worth a total value of $13.02 million so far this year.

Harker Heights

Permit officials in Heights issued 47 permits last week worth a total value of $1.95 million.

Three of the permits are for the construction of new single-family residences and three more were issued for the construction of new duplexes, worth a combined total of $1.28 million.

One home will be built by Carothers Homes and the other two will be built by the owners. Flintrock Builders will build two of the new duplexes and the final one will be built by Killeen Summit Builders.

So far this year, the city has issued permits worth a total value of $5.16 million.

Copperas Cove

A new restaurant is coming to Copperas Cove in the near future, according to the weekly permit reports. El Corral — a drive-thru Mexican restaurant — will be setting up shop at 901 S. Main Street. There is already one El Corral in Cove, and the new one will be an effort to expand the business. The new commercial permit is valued at $473,852.

Building officials issued 58 permits last week worth a total value of $1.24 million.

Three of the issued permits were for the construction of new single-family residences, worth a total value of $305,843. Contractor Silverado Homes will build two of the new houses on Heartland Avenue and Republic Circle, and Manning Homes will build the final home on Nathan Lane.

The city has issued permits worth a total value of $5.12 million so far this year.

Nolanville

There was one permit issued by Nolanville last week, worth $330,000.

The permit was for the construction of a new single-family residence. The home will be built by C. A. Doose on Bella Vista.

So far this year, the city has issued permits worth a total value of $1.1 million.
