While temperatures are expected to remain high in the Killeen area this week, rain chances are expected at 50 percent by Wednesday.

Today’s forecast is expected to be the hottest of the week with high projections at 100 degrees. The low is expected to be 76 degrees; clear skies are also expected to surround the area today until late Tuesday evening.

On Wednesday as rain chances increase, temperatures will come down to about 96 degrees by midday. Wednesday evening’s temperature will be about 74 degrees as rain chances drop to 40 percent.

On Thursday, thunder and rain chances will remain about 40 percent most of the day with the high at about 91 degrees. Thursday evening, temperatures will drop to about 73 degrees and lightning is expected.

On Friday, temperature highs are expected to remain in the low 90s.
