Incumbent Killeen Independent School District board member Marvin Rainwater filed for re-election, according to the district.

Rainwater joins Robert Eric Snyder as the only two candidates to file for two seats in the May 6 election.

Rainwater’s filing came just four days before the district election filing deadline. Board President Terry Delano has said he will not seek re-election.

While the 2016 election had three seats available, seven candidates filed.

Candidates have until 5 p.m. Friday to file.

Candidates must complete a ballot application with Kirk Thomas, election administrator, at the school district’s administration building, 200 N. W.S. Young Drive, and return the paperwork in person.

Regular business hours at the district’s administration building are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Candidates who would like to have their photos in the Herald should email a photo to news@kdhnews.com.
