A front of "snow grain," or compact snow flakes, is sweeping through the Killeen-Fort Hood area this morning, according to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth.

According to Matt Bishop, a meteorologist with the service, the compact flurries are expected to last into the early afternoon today with temperatures hovering in the high 20s.

"It doesn’t look like we’re going to see any sun today," Bishop said.

However, temperatures are expected to climb tomorrow with highs in the upper 40s.
