HARKER HEIGHTS — A group of eager children ran after a soccer ball at the city’s Summit Soccer Complex on Wednesday morning, calling out directives to each other as they attempted to retrieve the ball.

While getting fresh air, the children, ages 4-8, also were having fun and learning new skills as part of a weeklong British Soccer Spring Break program being offered through the end of the week by the city, said coach Hugo Duarte.

An afternoon camp is underway for children ages 9-16, giving kids of all ages an outlet to learn new techniques while having fun, Duarte said.
