This month’s utility bill reflects a street maintenance fee charge and a credit for that charge. The city will charge the $1.70 without the credit beginning in August. Single-family homes are charged $1.70 per month. Other residential and non-residential uses are charged a single-family equivalent rate monthly.

Killeen residents and business owners will see an alert for a bump in their city utility bill this month. It’s all part of a new street maintenance fee the Killeen City Council passed at the end of 2018.

On Tuesday night, City Manager Ron Olson and city staff gave the council an update on the new rate.
