Two more candidates filed for Killeen City Council seats during the open-filing period for the May 6 city election.

Patsy Bracey, a retired registered nurse, filed for the District 3 seat Friday. Bracey is set to face incumbent Councilman Jim Kilpatrick, who filed for re-election Jan. 18.

Ralph Cossey Jr., a software engineer, filed for the District 4 seat Monday. Cossey will face former Killeen Councilman Steve Harris and incumbent Mayor Pro Tem Brockley Moore for the seat.

The open filing period for the election closes Feb. 17.

All candidates who choose to file as a candidate for one of the council’s four district seats must fill out a ballot application form with City Secretary Dianna Barker at 101 N. College St.

City Hall’s regular business hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

For more information on which district you live in and where to vote, go to www.killeentexas.gov/election or call City Hall at 254-501-7600.

The Herald would like to run photos of candidates but might not have everyone on file.

When candidates announce they are filing, send a clear head shot photo in jpg format to news@kdhnews.com.
