Nolanville traffic

Harker Heights EMS responded to a medical emergency on the Main Street overpass after driver began experiencing chest pains and pulled her vehicle over, officials said.

Two incidents on U.S. Highway 190/Interstate 14 near the Main Street exit in Nolanville slowed eastbound traffic to a crawl this morning.

Nolanville police Chief Dan Porter said Nolanville police and emergency medical services responded to a vehicle collision between a 1996 Ford Winstarvan and a utility van at 7:14 a.m. east of the Main Street overpass.

The 62-year-old male driver of the Ford was transported to Scott & White Medical Center in Temple with suspected minor injuries, Porter said.

While eastbound traffic was slowed, Harker Heights EMS responded to a medical emergency on the Main Street overpass after a 43-year-old female driver of a black SUV began experiencing chest pains and pulled her vehicle over, Porter said.

The woman was transported to Seton Medical Center in Harker Heights with non-life threatening injuries.

The two incidents combined to back traffic up to the Nola Ruth Boulevard area, Porter said.

Both incidents were cleared by approximately 8:20 a.m.
