The warming station at the Killeen Community Center, 2201 E. Veterans Memorial Blvd., will be open through the coming weekend, according to Hilary Shine, city spokeswoman.

The warming station opened Thursday night at 9 p.m. due to temperatures falling below freezing. Anyone wishing relief from the cold is welcome.

Though daytime highs will be rising above 32 degrees, the overnight lows for Friday and Saturday will drop below that mark.

Another cold front predicted to pass through the area on Monday night will bring snow and sub-freezing temperatures into Tuesday night.

Shine said the warming station will remain open until temperatures rise above freezing.
