A Killeen resident won $5.2 million this week with a Texas Lottery scratch-off card.

Nery Pabon Jr. claimed the first of three top prizes in the new Super Weekly Grand scratch-off game on Tuesday, winning $5,000 per week for the next 20 years.

The prize totals $5.2 million before taxes, according to a Texas Lottery news release.

Pabon purchased the ticket at Gateway Food Mart No. 2 on Elms Road in Killeen. For selling the winning ticket, the store is eligible for a retailer bonus of $10,000.

The Super Weekly Grand game was introduced in September as part of a group of Weekly Grand-themed scratch-off tickets, the news release stated. Two additional top prizes and millions of lower-tier prizes from $10 to $1,000 remain unclaimed.

Pabon and Gateway Food Mart management did not respond to the Herald’s requests for comment Friday.
