COPPERAS COVE - A Copperas Cove resident remained in Coryell County Jail on Thursday after police say he damaged two cars over an energy-drink dispute.

Justice of the Peace John Guinn arraigned Darius Windell Rivers, 21, on Saturday on a felony criminal mischief charge. Guinn set his bond at $5,000.

According to the arrest complaint, police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 800 block of Bond Street at 9:45 a.m. Dec. 23 before arresting Rivers.

Officers met with two people who said Rivers got upset after being accused of taking an Amp energy drink from their kitchen, the complaint stated. Rivers went outside and started jumping on the hood of a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant and then began kicking the bed of a 2006 Toyota Tacoma.

The complaint stated the total damage to the property was $2,500.

Guinn also arraigned the following:

Sherard McCoy Clark on Dec. 22 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, more than 28 grams but less than 200 grams in a drug-free zone. Guinn set his bond at $10,000.

Azia Renee Hill on Dec. 23 on two charges of forgery of a financial instrument. Guinn set her bond at $10,000 on both charges.

Deshaun Thai Johnson on Dec. 23 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, more than 28 grams but less than 200 grams. Guinn set his bond at $10,000.

Christopher Allen Ortiz, 42, on Saturday on a charge of theft under $1,500 but with two prior convictions. Guinn set his bond at $10,000.

Danny Ray Lark, 48, on Sunday on a charge of driving while intoxicated with three or more DWIs. Guinn set his bond at $10,000.

Edward Frederick Wilcox Jr. on Monday on a charge of driving while intoxicated with three or more DWIs. Guinn set his bond at $7,500.
