Man accused of pointing a gun at woman

BELTON - A Fort Hood soldier is accused of pointing a loaded shotgun at a woman and her baby.

A Bell County grand jury indicted Gemayel Andre Jones, 26, of Harker Heights, Wednesday on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony.

A woman reported to police that on Feb. 18, Gemayel, with whom she was involved, was at her residence and began to get angry. He threw a cell phone and punched a wall, cutting his hand and flinging blood everywhere, she said.

Jones then grabbed a shotgun, according to the arrest affidavit, cocked it and pointed it at the woman while she was holding the baby. Jones then ordered her to leave. She called police, who arrived to find her three children alone. They also found blood around the apartment, a damaged cell phone and a shotgun in the bathroom cabinet with a shell in the barrel and six more in the magazine.

The grand jury also indicted:

Regina Marie Cummings, 17, of Killeen, on a charge of aggravated assault. Cummings is accused of hitting a woman in the temple with her stiletto high heel during a fight at a Killeen club, causing her to need 20 stitches.

Michelle Renee Daniels, 42, of Temple; aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, bodily injury, April 30.

Bobby Quinton Gentle, 33, of Temple; evading arrest with a motor vehicle, repeat offender, May 5.

Latasha Anya Jenkins, 23, of Temple; possession of marijuana, 4 ounces or more, May 24.

Justin Keith Stirman, 22, of Temple; possession of marijuana, 4 ounces or more, May 24.

Joshua DeWayne Turner, 20, of Hearne; possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, 1 gram or more, June 17.

Luis Angel Escobar, 56, of Temple; possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, cocaine, 4 grams or more, habitual offender, June 18.

Anthony Lee Wright, 26, of Temple; burglary of a habitation, repeat offender, May 22.

Wayne Allen Bledsoe, 17, of Temple; theft of a firearm, June 6.

William Renehan Jr., 39, of Temple; assault of a family member, strangulation, June 27.

Ennui Jordan Jones, 28; possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, cocaine, 1 gram or more, June 9.

Jorge Antonio Marshall, 22, of Killeen; possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, MDMA, 4 grams or more, repeat offender, June 15.

Byruss Ra'Shawn Smith, 20, of Killeen; possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, MDMA, 4 grams or more, June 15.

Chris Edward Dancer, 32, of Killeen; possession of marijuana, 4 ounces or more, June 30.

LaTonya Deanne Baker, 34, and Yolanda Denise Marks, 29, of Killeen; fraudulent use of identifying information, Jan. 5.

Maurice Samuel Arrington, 32, of Killeen; criminal mischief, less than $20,000, May 18.

Janet Charlene McGill, 49, of Killeen; aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, May 4.

Remigio Barbosa Rodriguez, 25, of Killeen; accident involving injury, June 13.
