COPPERAS COVE - Police arrested a Copperas Cove man suspected of shooting a gun at several people on Sunday.
According to the Coryell County Jail log, Daniel Bedburdick, 42, was arrested by city police about 9 p.m. Sunday, and he remained in jail on bonds totalling $100,000 as of Wednesday evening.
Justice of the Peace John Guinn arraigned Bedburdick on five charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on Monday, and set a bond for each offense at $20,000.
On Sunday, police were dispatched to a residence in the 500 block of Geri Drive to investigate several shots being fired, stated the arrest complaint.
Upon arrival, police met with five victims who said they were standing in a front yard when a male approached them and set down a cooler. The victims then had a short conversation with "uninvited guest" who was asked to leave.
The man began to leave, but as he entered the street, he pulled out a semi-automatic handgun and began shooting, the complaint stated. The man retreated to a nearby house.
Police discovered Bedburdick in the house several hours later, and he was identified by the victims as the shooter, according to the complaint.
