A 23-year-old man died early Monday after he crashed his pickup truck on East Rancier, police said.

Andrew Scott Anson was pronounced dead at 2:33 a.m. Monday from injuries he sustained during the crash on the 6900 block of East Rancier.

The crash happened just after 11:30 p.m. Sunday, when witnesses saw a 1995 green GMC Sonoma veer off the south side of the roadway. “The driver overcorrected, causing the truck to roll multiple times ejecting the driver,” according to a Killeen Police Department news release.

Anson was located in the field area and airlifted to Scott & White Memorial Hospital in critical condition, and later died.

This crash continues to be investigated, according to KPD.
