A 29-year-old man died after being partially ejected from his vehicle early Saturday.

Leonel Feliciano Fernandez was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke at 1:29 a.m. after officers responded to a report of a one-vehicle crash in the 1900 block of West Stan Schlueter Loop.

The vehicle left north side of the roadway and collided with a concrete drainage culvert causing extensive damage to the driver’s side of the vehicle, according to a Killeen Police Department news release.

A male passenger was found near the vehicle and was transported by ambulance to Scott & White Hospital in Temple, where he was treated and released.
