COPPERAS COVE - A man is accused of molesting two girls, 10 and 9, while on a camping trip with them in Copperas Cove in April.
The girls told a forensic interviewer that Herbert Franklin Grey Jr. touched them inappropriately in a tent on April 8, according to the arrest affidavit. Grey was arrested Monday on two charges of aggravated sexual assault.
Other crime reported:
William Brian Ponder and Christopher Jaron Alonzo were arrested in the 500 block of North First Street in Copperas Cove just after midnight Thursday on charges of possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, less than two ounces.
Michael George Sinclair was arrested in the 200 block of Big Divide Road in Copperas Cove at 8:30 a.m. Thursday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, less than two ounces.
An aggravated assault with a deadly weapon was reported in the 1300 block of Brown Drive in Copperas Cove at 11:40 a.m. Thursday.
Kentrell Fletcher was arrested in the 300 block of East Avenue E in Copperas Cove at 1:15 p.m. Thursday on a charge of a parole violation.
A theft of a firearm was reported in the 300 block of East Avenue E in Copperas Cove at 3:50 p.m. Thursday.
A burglary of a habitation with intent to commit other felony was reported in the 700 block of Casa Circle in Copperas Cove at 10 p.m. Thursday. A television, doorframe and other items were damaged at a cost of $1,720.
