Metroplex Health System’s is gearing up to host an annual event to promote childhood health and wellness for the 25th year in a row.

The organization's yearly KidFest will be held Aug. 4 from from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Killeen Civic and Conference Center. The event is held prior to the beginning of the school year and offers local children school immunizations, vaccines, screenings for blood pressure, body mass index, height, weight and with other pediatric health services and information.

This year, Metroplex will provide 300 free school immunizations for qualifying children ages 0 – 18 on a first-come, first- served basis along with free health screenings for children. The event will also feature games, food, music and other entertainment.
