NOLANVILLE — Nolanville Elementary School was locked down Friday morning, while police investigated reports of a suspicious person in the area.

About 9:30 a.m., the school was locked down based on a request from the Nolanville Police Department, said Todd Martin, a spokesman for the Killeen ISD.

Nolanville Police Chief Gary Kent, said the department received a call that a man dressed in camouflage and wearing a camouflage backpack was spotted in a field across the street from the school.

Kent said police searched the area, but did not find anyone.

The lockdown was lifted about 10:05 a.m., and students resumed their school day.
