COPPERAS COVE - A 21-year-old registered sex offender remained in Coryell County Jail on Thursday after police arrested him in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a minor.
Justice of the Peace Bill Price arraigned Jeremiah Alexander Griffin on Tuesday, on a charge of sexual assault of a child. Price set his bond at $100,000.
According to the arrest complaint, a woman reported the assault on the 14-year-old female victim Sunday after Griffin visited a residence where the child was staying Saturday.
Once at the residence, Griffin alledgedly went into the victim's room, removed her clothes and sexually assaulted her, the complaint stated.
