More than 20 firefighters and other emergency workers who worked on Labor Day were treated to a free meal from the Killeen Olive Garden, part of an annual tradition for the restaurant chain.

More than 800 Olive Garden restaurants nationwide delivered and served their local first responders a special “thank you” lunch Monday for their ongoing dedicated service to the community, the company said in a statement.

In Killeen, Olive Garden employees served the meals at three locations, including Killeen’s Central Fire Station on North 28th Street.
