COPPERAS COVE — A dispatch to a domestic disturbance call resulted in officers arresting a Copperas Cove man on an outstanding warrant and additional charges of drug possession.

On Thursday, Justice of the Peace John Guinn arraigned Kyle Aaron King on $8,000 bond for possession of a controlled substance, less than 1 gram, and $2,000 bond for possession of marijuana, less than 2 ounces.

When officers arrived on the scene, they were allegedly told there was no domestic disturbance, but officers were notified by dispatch that King also had an arrest warrant in connection with a theft.

According to police records, when officers went to handcuff King, he allegedly admitted he was in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana. After a search, police found both substances in his right front pocket.

In an unrelated case, Guinn arraigned William Andrew Hendrix on $15,000 bond on a charge of continuous violence against the family.

According to police records, Hendrix allegedly called police accusing his girlfriend of using narcotics around an infant. The woman told police that while she had used drugs in the past, she had not done so recently and said Hendrix was angry over another matter. She showed officers redness around her throat, left arm and hand.
