COPPERAS COVE — A man in Copperas Cove attacked another man with either a knife or brick Monday, resulting in one arrest, according to police.

Judge John Guinn arraigned Jeancarlos DeJesus Alemany on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and set bail at $10,000.

Alemany was arrested after police responded to a domestic call on Hill Street.

A male victim told police that Alemany cut him with a knife.

Police reports stated the victim had a 2- to 3-inch cut to his left ear, the left side of his jaw appeared to be broken and his face was covered in blood.

Police questioned Alemany, who allegedly confessed to throwing a brick at the victim, said it was the brick that caused the lacerations to the victim’s ear and the swelling of his jaw. Police records stated a broken, tan-colored brick was recovered at the scene.
