State Rep. Jimmie Don Aycock (R-Killeen) gave members of the Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce a legislative update Wednesday at a governmental affair luncheon.

Aycock was feature speaker at the luncheon held in the Central Texas College’s Anderson Campus Center. Aycock, who serves as the chairman for the House Committee on Public Education, spoke to Chamber members about his work during the 83rd regular legislative session, and the two additional 30-day special sessions subsequently called by Gov. Rick Perry.

Aycock touted his accomplishments, which included shepherding education and standardized testing reform, and updated members on potential transportation legislation currently being tackled by Texas Lawmakers during the current special session.
