BELTON - The Bell County Commissioners Court approved the final plat for Dove's Landing III during its regular meeting Monday. Plans call for a 10.042-acre subdivision with 12 lots on Royal Street, east of Salado, in Precinct 2.
The court also approved a final plat for Troy United Methodist Church, which includes a six-acre subdivision on the north side of Farm-to-Market 935 in Troy in Precinct 3.
Following a public hearing, the court approved a 45 mph speed limit on West Amity Road from Farm-to-Market 1670 to the Belton city limits.
In other business, the court:
Approved the Texas County and District Retirement System plan provisions for Plan Year 2012 and adopted the employer contribution rate of 11.63 percent.
Took no action on the outdoor burn ban, which is in effect and set to expire May 23.
Approved the appointment of Karen Walinder of Killeen to the Bell County Youth Fair and Livestock Show Association's executive board.
Approved the recommendation of the Bell County Youth Fair and Livestock Show Association executive board to contract with Facilities Management Services LLC to finish RV parking at the horse barn area of the Expo Center. The cost is not to exceed $36,693, and will be paid through bingo proceeds.
Approved a resolution amending and authorized representative for the tax assessor-collector's TexPool account, replacing Paulletta Locklin, who is retiring, with Shannon Loris.
Approved the renewal of a preventive maintenance agreement with Metroplex Control Systems Inc. for security systems at the loop jail, central jail, multi-use facility and juvenile justice alternative education program.
Approved audit engagement letters for fiscal year ending Sept. 30.
