Three candidates are vying for two seats on the Belton Independent School District’s board of trustees. Incumbents Jason Carothers and Amanda Winkler are running against challenger Donald Copeland.

For Belton’s mayoral post, former Mayor Pro Tem Marion Grayson is running unopposed. Four candidates are vying for two open positions on the Belton City Council. The two seats were left open after Grayson filed to run for mayor and Councilman John Agan did not file for re-election. The candidates are Bruce Burleson, Justin Winkler, Paul Sanderford and Guy O’Banion.


Four candidates are seeking the mayoral post in Salado. Incumbent Danny McCort is being challenged for the town’s top-elected post by Hans Fields, Rick Ashe and Skip Blancett. An item is also on the ballot that would legalize alcohol sales at stores.


Two candidates are seeking election to the District 2 seat on the Temple Independent School District’s board of trustees — Linell Davis and Temikia Brown.

Early voting begins Monday and ends May 6:

Belton: Belton City Hall, 333 Water St., 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays.

Belton ISD: Administration building, 400 N. Wall St., Belton, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.

Salado: Salado Civic Center, 601 N. Main St., Salado, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays.

Temple ISD: Administration building, 200 N. 23rd St., Temple, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday; and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday.
