Coston wins Bell County clerk primary race

BELTON — Bell County voters once again named Shelley Coston as the Republican nominee for the position of Bell County clerk in Tuesday’s primary election.

Coston, 47, the incumbent from Little River-Academy, received 8,373 votes, according to unofficial voting totals, handily beating challenger Velva Johnson, who picked up 3,963.

Coston will run unchallenged in November's general election, and serve a third term as Bell County clerk.
