COPPERAS COVE — The City Council will hold special meetings beginning at 6 tonight at the Economic Development Corporation.

On the agenda are the consideration and action to set two public hearings on the proposed property tax increase for the 2015 fiscal year, while also setting the date to adopt the tax rate.

The proposed increase is from 75.17 cents per $100 valuation to 77.74 cents per $100.

Ryan D. Haverlah, budget director/assistant to the city manager, will give a presentation of the direction for the city manager’s proposed budget and plan of municipal services and fee schedule changes for the upcoming fiscal year.
