More than 1,700 Bell County residents went to the polls Friday on the final day of early voting for Tuesday’s statewide primary.

The heavy one-day turnout pushed the total for the 12-day voting period to 7,951 ballots cast.

In Coryell County, 365 early-voting ballots were cast Friday, bringing the county’s 10-day total to 1,815.
