GATESVILLE — Voters in the Gatesville Independent School District on Tuesday overwhelmingly approved a $17.9 million bond issue to build a new elementary school.
The measure to replace the current 64-year-old elementary school passed with about 77 percent of the vote — 1,129-340 — following a vigorous campaign by the school district.
