The Killeen City Council will face a lengthy consent agenda and hold 10 public hearings today in its final meeting before swearing in a new mayor and council next week.

Among the consent items are a resolution to deny a rate increase requested by Atmos Energy, appointment of an independent auditor, and a resolution confirming the city manager’s annual evaluation.

Public hearings will include acquiring military-style semiautomatic rifles for the Killeen Police Department, purchase of a court case management system and two rezoning cases.

The meeting begins at 5 p.m. at City Hall, 101 N. College St.
