NOLANVILLE – Nolanville City Council members approved several changes to the city charter Thursday, which will be placed on the November ballot for resident approval.

Officials extended council member term limits. Now council members can serve three two-year terms, instead of being limited to two terms.

Council members also decided to allow the council to take action on ordinance items after one reading of the ordinance to the public.

Previously, the council had to read the ordinance twice before they could take action.
