Tom Pauken, a Republican running for Texas governor in 2014, was in Killeen today.

The 69-year-old Pauken stopped briefly at the Killeen Daily Herald before heading to a Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce luncheon at Central Texas College. He is scheduled to make campaign stops in Temple this afternoon and heads to San Antonio Thursday.

Pauken, a Vietnam veteran and Victoria native, now lives in Port Aransas.

He was the chairman of the Texas Workforce Commission from 2008-2012, and served in the President Ronald Regan's administration.
