Veterans from across the nation will ride through Killeen on Tuesday and then continue onto post the next day.

Ride 2 Recovery is a nonprofit organization that helps injured veterans improve their health and wellness through individual and group cycling.

More than 200 injured veterans and their supporters set off Sunday on the United Healthcare Ride 2 Recovery Texas Challenge, a seven-day, 490-mile rehabilitative ride from Houston to Arlington, concluding at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys.

The group will ride from Florence at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Shilo Inn in Killeen.

On Wednesday, the group will depart at 8:45 a.m. and ride 66 miles to Waco. The cyclists will arrive at Fort Hood about 9 a.m. and will briefly stop at III Corps Headquarters for a ceremony at 9:30 a.m.

They will leave post about 10 a.m. via Battalion Avenue.
