BELTON – With just nine precincts outstanding, Eddy Lange had nearly a 1,400-vote lead over Bob Patterson in the Republican Party runoff for Bell County sheriff.

In the race for 146th District Court judge, Jack Jones held a similar-sized lead over fellow Temple attorney Mary Black Pearson out of 10,000 ballots cast.

The race for Precinct 3 commissioner continued to be tight, with Bill Schumann leading Marty Janczak by about 180 votes of the more than 5,000 cast.
