SALADO — The Salado Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual candidate forum at 6 p.m. today at the Salado Civic Center, 601 N. Main St., and will feature candidates for the Salado Independent School District board of trustees, the Salado board of aldermen and mayor.

Each group will get about an hour to speak and answer questions.

“We’re sponsoring it because we remain completely neutral,” Salado Chamber of Commerce spokeswoman Nicole Stairs said. “We’ve been sponsoring it for 13 years, since the village was incorporated.”

The forum will be moderated by Dave Hermann, a local restaurateur who serves as the chairman of the chamber’s board of directors.
