The Bell County chapter of the Salvation Army is $40,000 shy of its goal. Residents have until 2 a.m. Monday to donate to the nonprofit’s cause.
The local chapter is one of the few Salvation Army units that does not receive a single grant, said Lt. Chris Bryant, corps officer for west Bell County Salvation Army locations, who hoped to raise $100,000 during the campaign.
