More than 50 people attended a Mother’s Day Tea and the Lions Club Park Senior Center’s fifth anniversary celebration Friday afternoon.

Debbie Edwards, senior center manager, said the members worked hard to make it a memorable event.

“It’s to honor the mothers and celebrate our fifth year of being open,” she said. “The center keeps growing because we offer such diversified activities. We have a lot of exercise programs and creative arts with some good old-time fellowship.”

Men from the senior center served cake and snacks in honor of Mother’s Day, while several ladies put on a fashion show courtesy of Dillard’s.
