Temple High School is in a soft lockdown this morning after a student reportedly shot himself on the campus, according to Brad Sheffield, the school's director of communications.
Police said the shooting is an isolated incident and no other students were involved, according to a report from the Temple Daily Telegram.
The condition of the student, who was taken to the hospital, is unknown. Police and school officials said they have the situation under control and are asking parents not to go to the school.
Killeen school officials said no lockdown order was issued locally, and classes are ongoing normally.
