A Killeen man was stabbed by his friend as they returned from Austin Sunday.

Killeen police uncovered the stabbing while investigating a car crash near the 3200 block of South Fort Hood Street.

The suspect, Reynard Lamonte Speaks, 36, of Killeen, admitted that he stabbed his friend with a pocket knife, according to an arrest affidavit released Tuesday.

The victim suffered stab wounds on his head, shoulder, chin and neck. The stabbing gashed a hole through the victim's hand, the affidavit stated.

The victim was taken to an undisclosed hospital. An update on his condition was not available late Tuesday.

Speaks remained in Bell County Jail on $100,000 bond Tuesday. Justice of the Peace Garland Potvin set the bond Monday when Speaks was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
