For those still trying to find out about their family members who may have been on post when tragedy struck yesterday, Fort Hood has set up a hot line for relatives of Fort Hood personnel, who may call (254) 288-7570 or (866) 836-2751 for information about loved ones.

Meanwhile, a counseling center has been established at the Killeen Community Center at 2201 E. Veterans Memorial Boulevard for those affected by the tragedy yesterday at Fort Hood.

Volunteer mental health professionals and representatives from the Texas Department of State Health Services, Salvation Army, Red Cross, Victim Relief Ministries, and others are on hand to assist families, employees, and community members.

Secretary of the Army John McHugh and Army Chief of Staff Gen. George W. Casey, Jr. will hold a press conference at Fort Hood at 1:30 p.m. today. The press event will be proceeded by an Army-wide moment of silence in honor of the Fort Hood victims, family members and loved ones.
