Police were called to Copperas Cove High School Tuesday afternoon to investigate what school officials called a “non-specific threat”.

No students were evacuated from the school, and were instead sent early to a pep rally and dismissed afterward, according to a spokesperson for the Copperas Cove Independent School District. The school did, however, cancel after-school tutoring.

In December 2012, the Cove district experienced at wave of 12 bomb threats at three schools, including Copperas Cove High School. Nine teenagers were detained by police in connection with those threats.
