The driver of a Killeen day care center van was indicted Wednesday; he is accused of endangering a child in an incident that left a 4-year-old girl locked inside the van for about two hours in 90-degree heat.

Nelson Galarza, 45, of Killeen, an employee of Carousel Daycare, was arrested by Killeen police and posted bond on July 18 after the 4-year-old was discovered by her mother in the van after business hours.

In other grand jury action, two men were indicted on charges of assaulting two men outside a local bar after playing pool inside.

Vino Deshun Thomas, 24, of Killeen, and Tyrese V. Watts, 25, of Harker Heights, remain in custody on two counts of robbery for the May 11 incident, which occurred in the parking lot outside the Sideline Sports Bar in Harker Heights.

Officials in the arrest affidavit state that one of the two men hurled a pool ball at one of the victims when they were leaving the bar, which knocked one of the two men to the ground. The other victim got hit in the head with a glass beer mug.

From there, the affidavit states, Thomas and Watts beat the two victims as they lay on the ground. They were told to "empty their pockets" and handed over their wallets and other valuables. One of the victims was able to wrestle free and get help from a bouncer, who detained one of the assailants until police arrived to take him into custody. Police found the other man and chased him down as well.

Thomas and Watts face two to 20 years in prison for each charge.

The grand jury issued 28 indictments on Wednesday, including the following:
