DALLAS — Medical professionals have raised concerns about eight Dallas County cases of the foodborne illness cyclosporiasis (SY'-kloh-suh-RY'-uhs-sis).
Experts are trying to determine whether the North Texas cases confirmed this week are part of an outbreak that's reached parts of the Midwest. Dozens of cases have been reported in Iowa and Nebraska. Symptoms include lingering diarrhea, fatigue and nausea.
