Drink too much and it will cost you.
That's the lesson of habitual drunken driver Lawrence Charles Anderson, 53, of Killeen, who was sentenced by Judge Martha Trudo of the 264th District Court to 18 years in prison Wednesday, with 418 days credit, for driving while intoxicated for the third time or more, most recently Oct. 27, 2007.
Anderson had prior DUI convictions on May 8, 2006, in Williamson County; July 26, 2002, in Dallas County; Sept. 27, 2007, in Hill County; and Jan. 6, 1986, in Milam County.
He also was convicted of a May 11, 1995, felony charge of failure to stop and render aid in Milam County, and of another felony conviction for unlawfully carrying a weapon on licensed premises on April 11, 1980.
Judge Trudo also sentenced Kristen Fredricka Jones, 27, of Killeen, to six months in state jail and to pay restitution of $2,704.11 for violating the terms of her probation.
Jones was originally sentenced to five years of deferred probation in 2005 for an Oct. 14, 2003, charge of theft, more than $1,500.
Judge Bill Bacchus sentenced Delvin Jones Sr., 25, of Killeen, to 10 years in prison, with boot camp, for possession of a controlled substance, 4 to 200 grams, Oct. 29.
Judge Fancy Jezek of the 426th District Court sentenced:
Debra Lynn Baynes, 51, of Killeen, to four years in prison for two counts of burglary of a habitation on Oct. 4, 2007, and Sept. 27, 2007.
Robert Craig Bailey, 48, of Killeen, to three years in prison and 40 days in Bell County Jail for possession of a controlled substance, 1 to 4 grams, on Oct. 25, 2007.
Henry Chapel Richardson Jr., 35, of Killeen, to 12 years in prison for possession of a controlled substance, 4 to 200 grams, on April 15.
Lakasha Quattlebaum, 33, of Killeen, to two years in prison for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon May 24, and 12 months in state jail to serve concurrently for violating her probation on a Nov. 13, 2007, charge of possession of a controlled substance, less than 1 gram.
Galvain Dalvicho Dunn, 25, of Killeen, to nine months in state jail, with credit for 61 days, for evading arrest with a vehicle Oct. 17.
David Wayne Cleveland, 32, of Killeen, to 10 months in state jail, with credit for 166 days, for burglary of a building, Jan. 23.
