BELTON The Bell County grand jury Wednesday indicted a 24-year-old Killeen woman accused of being the lookout for her boyfriend during a robbery in Killeen.

Lisa Lee Emmons, aka Lisa Lee Jones, was indicted on a May 9 charge of aggravated robbery.

According to the arrest affidavit, an acquaintance of Emmons told police that Emmons confessed to her that she helped in a robbery at Mickeys Convenience Store on Westcliff Road in Killeen with her boyfriend, Michael Paul Boyd.

She told witnesses she was in on the robbery, Bell County District Attorney Henry Garza said.

The witness told investigators that Emmons said she was the lookout while Boyd went into the store dressed in black and carrying a sawed-off shotgun and robbed the clerk behind the counter.

The victim, Nicolette Traylor, told police that a man came into the store carrying a sawed-off shotgun and wearing a dark jacket and a scarf covering his face.

Traylor stated that the man pointed the shotgun at her and demanded all the money from the register. After she handed over the money, the man fled the scene.

Another witness, William White, told police that he had dropped Emmons and Boyd off near the convenience store and confirmed that Boyd was wearing a black jacket and bandanna. White said that Emmons and Boyd called him an hour later to come and pick them up, and when he did, he noticed Boyd was sweating and was wearing a pair of black gloves. He also overheard them talking about the robbery they had just committed.

Killeen police conducted a search of Emmons and Boyds house and reportedly found a black jacket, a pair of black gloves and a black bandanna matching the description of the clothing worn by the suspect.

Emmons is currently out on a $5,000 bond, and Boyd is in the Bell County Jail on a $1 million bond. Boyd is being held for the aggravated robbery and on a May 22 charge of capital murder.
